Remote Computers

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

FP2 offers several Remote (Offline) applications that allows users to take Fire Inspections or Hydrant Records offline, record information, then sync that information back to the main computer.

Remote computers have to function separately from the main FP2 Server, so the installation process is slightly different.

1.Remote computers require their own copy of the Server software.  This is a specialized version of the standard Server installer that is sent with the installation package.

2.Running the Client Installer on a computer with a Remote Server installed will automatically prompt you during the installation if this is a "Remote Installation".  You should select "Yes".

3.It is possible to access both the Main Server and the Remote application from the FP2 Login screen by adding the Server computer to the Computer list, per: FP2 Client Configuration.
