Summary

This module was developed to be used for bylaw infractions. Although the nature of the record is different, how it acts and responds in FP2 is the same as incidents.

Creating a Record

Bylaw records must be attached to Property Records.  Most of the time, however, bylaw infractions occur at a non-property (ex., streets, alleys, etc), therefore themost common property to attach a bylaw record to is a Non-Property Record.  An organizational technique that has been implemented in the example below names the non-property records BYLAW and then specify the infraction type. This will make searching and attaching these kinds of records simple. However, it will not provide location information for statistics.

Bylaw Record Entry

This module is equipped to handle almost any bylaw department's needs by having multiple configurable drop lists, text boxes, and date stamps.  The department can configure these drop lists as they see fit with different bylaw sections relating to different bylaw infractions.  The lists are edited like any other Editable List.

For a list of the Bylaw entry fields, please refer to the Bylaw Record Window.
